![]() ![]() Much like any other fat burner, they go hand and hand well with a proper diet. ![]() No deduction from the taste rating for this since I see cooking/baking ability of a protein powder to be an added bonus. I made proats with Isoburn and that hardly noticeable taste I mentioned above became much more noticeable in every bite. I had planned to do some cooking with this protein, but just found that this protein powder is not best for that because of the fat burning ingredients in the product. Side note: I like to cook and bake with the protein powders I get. Overall, a thumbs up on the taste of this fat burning protein powder. It's hardly noticeable(less noticeable in almond milk), but it's still a there if you are concentrating hard on the taste instead of downing the shake. You do get a very small side taste/after taste of the fat burning ingredients when drinking the shake. ![]() Of course is was smoother and the taste was enhanced more in almond milk, but this is a protein I'd be just fine drinking in water. I generally really dislike mixing protein powder with water because of how much it takes away from the taste, but water really didn't take the taste away. I enjoyed the taste in both water and almond milk. Mainly because of the decreased sugar, carbs, and fat content. I used the word almost because Isoburn is lacking that sweet taste you get from Syntha 6. In both water and almond milk, Isoburn tasted almost just like Syntha 6 Chocolate milkshake. I would say Isoburn is closer to the taste of Syntha 6 than Syntha 6 Isolate is. 10/10Īs I mentioned in my expectations section, I'm a huge fan of the taste of Syntha 6 but yet don't like the taste of Syntha 6 Isolate, if that helps to gear the type of taste I go for. See the pictures below as to how it looks when mixed with water and almond milk. I found that mixing with 1 cup water or 1 cup almond milk was perfect for the texture to not be too thin and maximized the taste. I personally am a fan of thicker type shakes that resemble milk shakes, but I liked the texture in both water and milk. It was a rather thinner shake that I would say is the same texture you get with Syntha 6 Isolate, but yet not too runny/liquidy. The texture was the same with both water and almond milk. I only had to shake for a matter of seconds and all the powder was mixed together with whatever liquid I used. ![]() This product mixes very well in both water and almond milk. Only reason I'm taking a point off is because it's only 20 grams of protein while the higher amount of protein is usually the most ideal, at least in my opinion it is. The Isoburn blend consists of Green Coffee Extract, L-Carnitine, and Lepticore which help promote fat oxidation. Being a fat burner without having caffeine in it is also a big plus because it won't interfere with a preworkout supplement and will let the individual take anytime of day. Only having 1 gram of sugar, 6 grams of carbs and 2 grams of fat while giving 20 grams of protein makes it easy to fit this protein into any diet. This is the lowest calorie protein powder I've ever seen from BSN. When I saw the profile of Isoburn, I was instantly a fan because of the 120 calories. I knew that just like every other fat burner, a proper diet is what it will taste for fat/weight loss. I was rather skeptical as well when it comes to the fat burning ingredients in this product and thought it would both throw off the taste and not give much of a fat burning effect. Syntha 6 Isolate tried to mimic the flavor of Syntha 6, but I don't think it tastes the same at all and lacks. I did not expect the taste of Isoburn to be anywhere close to Syntha 6 due to how different the profile of the product is. Syntha 6 is my go-to protein because of the excellent flavor, it's profile, and ability to use as a meal replacement. This is not the first fat burning protein powder I've heard of and even though it did sound interesting, I was content with sticking to my Syntha 6. I saw the advertising for Isoburn on the BSN facebook page( for awhile now. The latest product released from BSN is a 2 in 1 fat burning protein powder designed to help support your fat-burning potential while promoting toned muscle and metabolism. # of years taking Supplements: 2.5+ years Can honestly never have enough shaker cups handy.Ĭurrent training style/method: Bodybuilding I also got a free shaker cup which wasn't mentioned in the giveaway which I greatly appreciate. First off I'd like to thank TheMatzah and BSN for sending me this product to try and review. ![]()
